Jan. ten (UPI) — The U. S. Treasury Department said Wednesday the exact U. S. is sanctioning five North Korean humans for procuring goods useful for ballistic missile and tools of mass destruction plans.
“Today’s methods, part of the United States’ existing efforts to counter the DPRK’s weapons of bulk destruction and ballistic rocket programs, target its extended use of overseas representatives inside illegally procure goods towards weapons, ” Under Assistant of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Brian E. Nelson said on a statement.
“The DPRK’s latest razzo launches are further whole story that it continues to advance not allowed programs despite the international community’s calls for diplomacy and denuclearization. ”
And the five North Koreans certified Wednesday are based in Italy and China.
Choe Myong Hyon, based in Vladivostok, Russia, was selected for sanctions for functioning to procure telecommunications equipment received from Russia for North Korean companies, the Treasury Split said in a press release.

In announcing sanctions against the five people, the United States said “all property and interests in property of the individuals and entities that are in the United States or in the possession or control of U.S. persons must be blocked and reported to OFAC.”
These sanctions also apply to foreign financial institutions that knowingly facilitate transactions or provide significant financial services to the sanctioned individuals.
